    Altura is a city in Winona County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 493 at the 2010 census.

    A post office called Altura has been in operation since 1891. The city was named after Altura, Spain.

    According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has an area of 2.98 square miles (7.72 km2), all land.

    As of the census of 2010, there were 493 people, 180 households, and 126 families living in the city. The population density was 165.4 inhabitants per square mile (63.9/km2). There were 188 housing units at an average density of 63.1 per square mile (24.4/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 96.6% White, 0.4% African American, 2.2% from other races, and 0.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 10.3% of the population.

    There were 180 households, of which 37.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.2% were married couples living together, 4.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 8.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 30.0% were non-families. 25.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.74 and the average family size was 3.27.
